A. CALL TO ORDER

President Tim Jones called the special meeting to order at 5:36 p.m.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Tim Jones, Vice President Mary Broussard, Secretary Steve Aldrich and Trustees Marc Chaloupka, Randall Pitcock, Garland Watson and Charlotte Slack were present.

C. BUSINESS AND OPERATIONS

C-1. Consider Order Authorizing the issuance of College Station Independent School District Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2006; Authorizing the execution of a bond purchase agreement and an Escrow Agreement; Approving an Official Statement; and Enacting other provisions relating to the subject

Dr. Jimmy Creel, Superintendent, recognized Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations Mike Ball who introduced Steve Elliott and Victor Quiroga with Southwest Securities. Mr. Quiroga briefly reviewed a Refunding Analysis for the Series 1996 and 1997 Bonds which could produce a savings of $488,904 for CSISD.

MOTION 3700: I move approval of the Order Authorizing the issuance of CSISD Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds, Series 2006; Authorizing the execution of a bond purchase agreement and an Escrow Agreement; Approving an Official Statement; and Enacting other provisions relating to the subject as presented. The motion was made by Randall Pitcock and seconded by Marc Chaloupka. The motion carried with seven ayes and zero nayes.

D. ELECTION

D-1. Receive Certification of Unopposed Election for College Station Independent School District Board of Trustees from Election Official

Superintendent Jimmy Creel addressed the Board of Trustees regarding certification of the May 13, 2006 Election for CSISD Board of Trustees being unopposed. Election Official Beth French provided the Certification of Unopposed Election to the trustees.

MOTION 3701: I move approval of receipt of Certification of Unopposed Election for CSISD Board of Trustees from Election Official as presented. The motion was made by Randall Pitcock and seconded by Charlotte Slack. The motion carried with seven ayes and zero nayes.

D-2. Consider cancellation of unopposed May 13, 2006 election and declaration of election of unopposed candidates

Superintendent Jimmy Creel recommended the cancellation of the unopposed May 13, 2006 election because the incumbents are unopposed and have filed for reelection to Place 1 and Place 2 of the CSISD Board of Trustees. Marc Chaloupka has filed for Place 1 and Tim Jones has filed for Place 2.

MOTION 3702: I move approval of the Cancellation of Unopposed May 13, 2006 Election and Declaration of Election of Unopposed Candidates as presented. The motion was made by Mary Broussard and seconded by Garland Watson. The motion carried with five ayes and two abstentions. Trustee Marc Chaloupka and President Tim Jones abstained.

D. ADJOURNMENT

By consent, President Jones adjourned the meeting at 5:50 p.m.
