BOARD OF TRUSTEES PUBLIC HEARING

A. CALL TO ORDER

President Tim Jones called the hearing to order at 7:00 p.m. with seven members present.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Tim Jones, Vice President Mary Broussard, Secretary Randall Pitcock, Trustees Charlotte Slack, Garland Watson, Steve Aldrich and Marc Chaloupka were present.

C. PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC ON PROPOSED SCHOOL DISTRICT BUDGET AND TAX RATE FOR THE 2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR

Superintendent Eddie Coulson recognized Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations Mike Ball who briefly reviewed the Ordinance Adopting a Tax Rate for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. He reported that A Notice of the Public Meeting To Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate had been published as required by law on 8/10/07, in The Bryan-College Station Eagle. The Notice informed the public of the meeting and The Rollback Rate published in the notice is $1.328937 per $100 in taxable property value.

There were no public comments on the proposed School District Budget and Tax Rate for the 2007-2008 School Year.

D. ADJOURNMENT

Without objection, Tim Jones adjourned the public hearing at 7:09 p.m.
