Joint Workshop Meeting with the City of College Station

June 13, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.

A. CALL TO ORDER

President Valerie Jochen called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. and declared a quorum was present with seven members present.

Mayor protemp Karl Mooney, City Councilman Jess Fields, City Councilman John Nichols, and City Councilman Julie Schultz were present representing the City of College Station.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

In attendance were President Valerie Jochen, Vice President Paul Dorsett, Secretary Jeff Harris, Trustees Randall Pitcock, Garland Watson, Carol Barrett and Kimberly McAdams.

C. WORKSHOP SESSION

C-1. Consideration, discussion and possible action related to a November 5, 2013 CSISD Bond Proposal and possible projects to be considered in that Bond Proposal

Superintendent Eddie Coulson and Deputy Superintendent Clark Ealy reported related to projects. Discussion occurred.

C-2. Consideration, discussion and possible action related to the purchase of College Station Conference Center by CSISD

Superintendent Coulson reported that CSISD and the City are in negotiations to come up with a fair market value for the property where College Station Conference Center is located. Discussion occurred.

C-3. Consideration, discussion and possible action related to the proposed 2013-2014 Code of Conduct

Superintendent Eddie Coulson reported that there was little change in the proposed 2013-2014 Student Code of Conduct. Trustees expressed desire to see information pertaining to social media included in the handbook. Discussion occurred. Dr. Coulson will send information to the Trustees by transmittal prior to the 8/20/13 board meeting.

Without objection, President Jochen adjourned the workshop at 6:54 p.m.
