A. CALL TO ORDER

President Valerie Jochen called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and declared a quorum was present with seven members present.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

In attendance were President Valerie Jochen, Vice President Paul Dorsett, Secretary Jeff Harris, Trustees Randall Pitcock, Garland Watson, Carol Barrett and Kimberly McAdams. Additionally the Board of Trustees invited newly elected Michael Wesson and Quinn Williams to join them at the Board table for discussion. The new Trustees are scheduled to be sworn in tomorrow, November 13, 2013.

C. WORKSHOP SESSION

C-1. Discussion related to College Station Independent School District’s Core Beliefs and Commitments

Superintendent Coulson and President Jochen welcomed everyone and gave a brief overview of the role of the board versus the role of the superintendent. Discussion occurred.

C-2. Discussion related to College Station Independent School District’s Board of Trustees Operating Procedures

Superintendent Eddie Coulson and President Valerie Jochen led discussion related to the school district’s Board of Trustees Operating Procedures. Discussion occurred.

D. ADJOURNMENT

Without objection, President Jochen adjourned the workshop at 6:50 p.m.
