CALL TO ORDER
President
Valerie Jochen called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. and declared a quorum
was present with seven members present.
B.
DECLARATION OF QUORUM
In
attendance were President Valerie Jochen, Vice President Paul Dorsett, Secretary
Jeff Harris, Trustees Randall Pitcock, Garland Watson, Carol Barrett and Kimberly
McAdams.
C.
Consideration, discussion, and possible action related to the
Financial Management Report for the 2011-2012 Fiscal year and overview of
School FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) and the most recent
rating for College Station ISD
Superintendent
Eddie Coulson recognized Deputy Superintendent for Human Resources and Business
Services Glynn Walker who reported information to the Trustees related to the
District’s superior rating (a perfect score) in the Financial Integrity Rating
System of Texas (FIRST). The purpose of
the financial accountability rating system is to ensure that school districts
are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices
and to achieve improved performance in the management of financial resources in
order to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional
purposes.
College
Station ISD has earned 100% - Superior Achievement distinction for two
consecutive years.
