SUBJECT: Fire Sprinkler Piping for AMCMS
Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals for the replacement of the Fire Sprinkler Piping System at A&M Consolidated Middle School were mailed March 24, 2003 to seven contractors and advertised March 30, 2003 and April 4, 2003. A pre—proposal meeting was held on April 10, 2003. Three contractors responded to the proposal, which opened April 23, 2003. The responsive proposers were:

Simplex Grinnell $67,560.00
Standard Automatic Fire Enterprises received the highest score based on the evaluation criteria listed in the proposal. It is the recommendation of Mark Pantel, Coordinator of Purchasing and George Mc Lean, Director of Operations to award this proposal to Standard Automatic Fire Enterprises for $36,000.00 total. The project will be substantially complete and ready for use by August 1, 2003.
