As per my recommendation, Sharon Jackson, Director of Head Start, has requested proposals for the replacement of playground equipment at Southwood Valley Elementary and South Knoll Elementary from three vendors who participate in the Texas Local Government Statewide Purchasing Cooperative. The Buyboard is the secured website for this cooperative which allows members to search for and access various products and services. College Station ISD is a member of this cooperative, which is administered by TASB. All items and catalogs posted on the Buyboard have been competitively bid and awarded by the Cooperative’s Board of Trustees based on state statues.
Per the attached memo, Ms. Jackson has reviewed the three proposals received and is recommending the equipment be purchased from Game Time/Total Recreation Products who offered the most comprehensive proposal at a total cost of $66,841.00. I have reviewed the prices from Game Time/Total Recreation Products and consider them to be competitive and of the best value to the district. Delivery and installation can be accomplished this summer. I agree with Ms. Jackson’s recommendation to purchase the playground equipment listed on the attached page from Game Time/Total Recreation Products.
