 BOARD APPRECIATION ‘DINNERTAINMENT’

January 20, 2004

5:00 p.m.

               

A.  CALL TO ORDER

The Board Appreciation Dinner kicked off at 5:00 p.m.

 

B.  DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Marc Chaloupka, Vice President Tim Jones, Secretary Mary Broussard, Trustees Susan Lowy, Dayne Foster, Larry Johnson and Steve Aldrich were present. 

 

C.  BOARD APPRECIATION DINNER

Cheddar’s Restaurant provided a delicious meal for the Board of Trustees and while dining, the Board was entertained by CSISD students.  The evening began with Oakwood Intermediate Orchestra composed of 5th and 6th grade students, directed by Ms. Whiting.  The students who participated were Austin Ajie, Martin Aucoin, Zach Bennett, Sarah Bowman, Kyle Chapkin, Claire Crisman, Monique Duron, Jeremy Frye, Adam Garrett, Hannah Hawkins, Tony Jung, Andrew Kim, Bryan Kim, Christina Kihm, Rajeev Kinra, Denise Kootin-Sanwu, Miles Martin, Peter Moon, Yena Oh, Ryan Samuel, Kara Schoenemann, Josh Schulman, Inyoung Seo, Neha Shetty, Sandra Shin, Jordan Sparks, Alan Su, Kathy Wang, Karen Wang, William Wright, Chen Yao, and Michelle Wulfson.  South Knoll Elementary School was represented next.  Second Grader Maryshe Zietsman sang, while South Knoll First Grader Kevin Liu played the violin to entertain the audience.  Following South Knoll, AMC High School students, Katie Bilberry (Grade 10) and Sadie Dunn (Grade 12), debated their way into the hearts of the board.  Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra students representing College Station Middle School entertained the School Board next.  The students who participated were Natalia Valdez-Vivas, Sarah Ashley, Meher Nicolwala, Casey Hatfield, Alex Liu, Morrell Munyon, Matt Graham, and Omar Masud.  Southwood Valley Elementary Singers followed the middle school orchestra.  Mr. Eagle was backed up by the Southwood Valley Singers.  Those students who participated were Victoria Adeyemi, Kirby Bramson, Kourtney Brooks, Kayli Curda, Shannon Earnest, Maci Green, Taylor Kenedy, Chelsea McAdams, Cassandra Park, Nicole Perez, Allyssa Salazar, Madelaine Street, and Kelsey Tseng.  To complete the evening of “Dinnertainment” Readings were read by Timber Academy’s Jack Mullins (teacher), Sam Bosco-Pratt (student), and Paige Mears (student).

 

 

 

D.  ADJOURNMENT
