CALL TO ORDER
President Tim Jones called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. with seven
members present.
B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM
President Tim Jones, Vice
President Mary Broussard, Secretary Randall Pitcock, Trustees Charlotte Slack,
Marc Chaloupka, Steve Aldrich and Garland Watson were present.
C. TO RECEIVE A REPORT AND PUBLIC INPUT RELATED
TO CSISD ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE INDICTOR SYSTEM DATA FOR THE 2005-2006 SCHOOL YEAR
Superintendent Eddie Coulson recognized Executive Director for
Accountability and Planning Clark Ealy who presented information as it pertains
to the Academic Excellence Indicator System Data for the 2005-2006 School Year. The information included pertained to: Texas
Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), Completion and Dropout Rates, Other
Student Performance Data, District Staffing and Financial Data and Measure of
Data Quality (Accuracy). Additional
information included Student Performance in Post-Secondary Institutions –
College Freshman performance on the TASP, Report on Violent and Criminal
Incidents, Goals reflected in the Title IV SDFS Evaluation, and Campus
Improvement Plan Objectives.
College Station Independent School District Accountability Ratings
are: CSISD – Academically Acceptable,
Pebble Creek – Exemplary, A&M Consolidated Middle School – Recognized,
Oakwood – Recognized, South Knoll – Recognized, Forest Ridge – Recognized, Rock
Prairie – Recognized, Southwood Valley – Recognized, A&M Consolidated High
School – Academically Acceptable, College Station Middle School – Academically
Acceptable, Cypress Grove – Academically Acceptable, College Hills –
Academically Acceptable and Timber Academy – Academically Acceptable.
Gold Performance Acknowledgements were awarded to College Station
ISD – AP/IB Scores, Commended Performance in Writing, and TSI in Math; A&M
Consolidated High School – AP/IB Scores, Comparable Improvement in Reading,
SAT/ACT Scores and TSI Math; A&M Consolidated Middle School – Attendance,
Commended Performance in Reading, Writing, and Social Studies; College Hills –
Commended Performance in Reading, Math and Writing; College Station Middle
School – Commended Performance in Writing; Cypress Grove – Commended
Performance in Reading and Math, and Comparable Improvement in Reading and
Math; Forest Ridge – Commended Performance in Reading, Math and Writing and
Comparable Improvement in Math; Oakwood – Attendance, Commended Performance
Reading and Math, and Comparable Improvement Reading; Pebble Creek – Commended
Performance Reading, Writing and Math, and Comparable Improvement Reading and
Math; Rock Prairie – Commended Performance Reading, Writing and Math, and
Comparable Improvement Math; South Knoll – Commended Performance Reading;
Southwood Valley – Commended Performance Reading.
