CALL TO ORDER
President Tim Jones called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. with
a quorum present.
B.
DECLARATION OF QUORUM
President Tim Jones, Vice
President Mary Broussard, Secretary Randall Pitcock, Trustees Charlotte Slack,
Marc Chaloupka, Garland Watson and Steve Aldrich were present.
C.
OVERVIEW OF SCHOOL F.I.R.S.T. (FINANCIAL
INTEGRITY RATING SYSTEM OF TEXAS) AND MOST RECENT RATING FOR THE DISTRICT
President Tim
Jones welcomed attendees and expressed appreciation for attendance.
Superintendent
Eddie Coulson recognized Mike Ball, Deputy Superintendent for Business and
Operations, who presented a report to the Trustees as it pertains to the
F.I.R.S.T. (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) requirement for the
2004-2005 school year. The rating is
based upon 21 indicators, with five critical indicators that can result in
automatic failure. The five critical
indicators are:
CSISD received a
Superior Achievement for the 2004-2005 school year.
D. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE REPORT
1. Stephanie Eijsink
questioned the trustees regarding how much money it takes to educate a student
from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Mr. Ball answered that CSISD spends
approximately $6500 per student per year.
2. Bobby Slovak addressed
the trustees and complimented the administration on a Superior Achievement as
it pertains to the F.I.R.S.T. rating.
Mr. Slovak encouraged the trustees to review the salary schedules and
consider increasing salaries and encouraged the trustees to build a second high
school as soon as possible.
