A. CALL TO ORDER

President Susan Lowy called the meeting to order at 12:07 p.m.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Susan Lowy, Vice President Marc Chaloupka, Trustees Larry Johnson and Tim Jones were present. Trustee Steve Aldrich arrived at 12:09 p.m. Secretary Dayne Foster and Trustee Mary Broussard were absent.

C. ELECTION ITEMS

1. Canvass Returns of September 22, 2001 Chapter 41 Election
Shannon Sanders, Election Coordinator canvassed the returns of the September 22, 2001 Chapter 41 Election. Proposition Number One: Authorizing the board of trustees of College Station Independent School District to purchase attendance credits from the state with local tax revenue passed with 611 votes, 94% of the votes passed for and 39 votes, 6% of the votes passed against for a total of 650 votes cast. Proposition Number Two: Authorizing the board of trustees of College Station Independent School District to educate students of other school districts with local tax revenues passed with 598 votes, 91.72% of the votes cast for and 54 votes, 8.28% cast against for a total of 652 votes cast.

2. Consider Approval of Canvass and Order Declaring Results
Shannon Sanders, Election Coordinator read the Order Declaring Results of Special Election into the record in full.

MOTION 3290: I move approval of the Canvass. The motion was made by Steve Aldrich and seconded by Marc Chaloupka. The motion carried with five ayes.

MOTION 3291: I move approval of the Order Declaring Results. The motion was made by Marc Chaloupka and seconded by Larry Johnson. The motion carried with five ayes.

D. ADJOURNMENT

MOTION 3292: I move to adjourn the meeting. The motion was made by Tim Jones and seconded by Larry Johnson. The motion carried with five ayes.

Without objection, President Lowy adjourned the meeting at 12:12 p.m.
