A. CALL TO ORDER

President Susan Lowy called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Susan Lowy, Vice President Marc Chaloupka, Secretary Dayne Foster, Trustees Larry Johnson, Steve Aldrich, Tim Jones and Mary Broussard were present.

C. PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS BUDGET AND PROPOSED TAX RATE
1. 2002-03 Budget and Tax Rate Overview

Mike Ball, Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations, presented an overview of the process for development of the 2002-03 CSISD Budget and Tax Rate. Mr. Ball emphasized that the Public Hearing provides the public an opportunity for input into the budget process.

2. Hearing of Citizens

None

Steve Johnson, Superintendent, publicly thanked the CSISD staff for their hard work in reducing the budget by $2.3 million. Of that amount, $1.8 million will benefit Bryan, while BISD will receive approximately $1.6 million less from the State. CSISD Administration and Staff are proud to present a balanced budget.

D. ADJOURNMENT

MOTION 3382: I move to adjourn the meeting. The motion was made by Marc Chaloupka and seconded by Mary Broussard. The motion carried with seven ayes.

Without objection, President Lowy adjourned the meeting at 7:16 p.m.
