A.     CALL TO ORDER

President Tim Jones called the meeting to order at 6:47 p.m. with a quorum of seven members present.

 

B.    DECLARATION OF QUORUM

President Tim Jones, Vice President Mary Broussard, Secretary Randall Pitcock, Trustees Charlotte Slack, Marc Chaloupka, Garland Watson and Steve Aldrich were present.

 

C.    TO RECEIVE A REPORT AND PUBLIC INPUT RELATED TO CSISD ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE INDICATOR SYSTEM DATA FOR THE 2006-2007 SCHOOL YEAR

 Superintendent Eddie Coulson recognized Executive Director for Accountability and Planning Clark Ealy who presented information as it pertains to the Academic Excellence Indicator System Data for the 2006-2007 school year.  The information included pertains to: Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), Completion and Dropout Rates, Other Student Performance Data, District Staffing and Financial Data, Measure of Data Quality (Accuracy).  Additional information included Student Participation in Post-Secondary Institutions, Report on Violent and Criminal Incidents, Goals reflected in the Title IV SDFS Evaluation, and Campus Improvement Plan Objectives.

 

College Station Independent School District Accountability Ratings are:  CSISD – Academically Acceptable, Rock Prairie Elementary – Exemplary, Pebble Creek Elementary – Exemplary, College Hills Elementary – Recognized, Southwood Valley – Recognized, AMC High School – Academically Acceptable, AMC Middle School – Academically Acceptable, CS Middle School – Academically Acceptable, Cypress Grove Intermediate – Academically Acceptable, Oakwood Intermediate – Academically Acceptable, South Knoll Elementary – Academically Acceptable, Forest Ridge Elementary – Academically Acceptable, and Timber Academy – Academically Acceptable.

 

Gold Performance Acknowledgements were awarded to:  College Station ISD – AP/IB Scores, AMC High School – AP/IB Scores, Comparable Improvement in Reading, SAT/ACT Scores and TSI English/LA, AMC Middle School – Commended Performance Writing and Social Studies, Comparable Improvement in Math, College Hills Elementary – Commended Performance Reading, Math and Writing, Comparable Improvement in Math, College Station Middle School – Commended Performance Writing, Cypress Grove Intermediate – Commended Performance Reading, and Comparable Improvement Reading and Math, Forest Ridge Elementary – Comparable Improvement Math, Oakwood Intermediate – Commended Performance Reading, and Comparable Improvement Reading, Pebble Creek Elementary – Commended Performance Reading, Writing, and Math, and Comparable Improvement in Math, Rock Prairie Elementary – Commended Performance Reading, Writing, and Math, Southwood Valley Elementary – Commended Performance Reading and Writing.

 

D.  PUBLIC COMMENTS ON THE REPORT

The report will be made available on the CSISD website.  No public comments were made.
