SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

June 9, 2011 at 12:00 noon

CSISD Board Room

A. CALL TO ORDER

President Randall Pitcock called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon and declared a quorum was present with five members present.

B. DECLARATION OF QUORUM

In attendance were President Randall Pitcock, Vice President Valerie Jochen, Secretary Paul Dorsett, and Trustees Carol Barrett and Jeff Harris. Trustees Kimberly McAdams and Garland Watson were absent.

C. EXECUTIVE SESSION

C-1. The Board will meet in closed session to hear a Level III FNG Complaint Appeal regarding a student transfer request. The executive session deliberations will be held pursuant to the “School Children; School District Employees; Disciplinary Matter or Complaint” exception; the “School Board: Personally identifiable information About Public School Student” exception; as set forth in Sections 551.0825 and 551.0821, of the Texas Government Code.

The Board went into Executive Session at 12:01 p.m.

D. OPEN SESSION

The Board returned to Open Session at 12:50 p.m.

MOTION XXXX: I move to grant the transfer appeal and approve the student transfer, as presented. The motion was made by Secretary Paul Dorsett and seconded by Trustee Carol Barrett. The motion passed with five ayes and zero nos. There were two absences. Trustees Garland Watson and Kimberly McAdams were absent.

E. ADJOURNMENT

Without objection, President Pitcock adjourned the workshop at 12:51 p.m.
